“4,000 jobs a year. $79 million annually contributed to the nyc economy. almost $1 billion dollars added during it’s 20-year run.law & order has done a lot for the city of new york. and now that nbc has gone and cancelled the show, that’s all gone. we can thank l&o for a lot. the new laws providing tax breaks were a direct result of the show. the thousands of employed unemployed off-broadway and broadway actors. an unbelievable amount of press for the city. as nyc film, theater, and broadcasting commissioner katharine oliver said, law & order mastermind dick wolf ”really proved that new york city is an affordable place to shoot.”

Wow. 4,000 jobs+Sam Waterson, that would be some stimulus spending I could get behind.
